The Souks of Marrakesh
Or markets of Marrakesh, just adjacent to Place Djemaa El-Fna, are where you can buy almost anything. From spices to shoes, jellabas to kaftans, tea pots to tagines and much, much more. The souks of Marrakesh are incomparable! The colours, the sounds and the smell....
The Famous Djemaa El Fna Square
Djemaa el Fna is the most famous landmark in Marrakesh, the highlight of any Marrakesh night. Musicians, dancers, and story tellers pack this square at the heart of the medina, filling it with a cacophony of drum beats and voices. It is a place that will effortlessly draw you in so that you will come back again and again.
The Koutoubia Tower
The Koutoubia is to Marrakesh what the Statue of Liberty is to New York and the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. It is a central tourist attraction.
The Menara Gardens
These are located west of the city and consist of a mixture of orchards and olive groves surrounding a central pavilion which is a popular sight on tourist postcards. The pavilion was built during the 16th century Saadi dynasty, and renovated in 1869. It has a small cafe.
The Majorelle Garden
The garden bears the name of its creator in the 1920s, French painter Jacques Majorelle. Today, the Majorelle is maintained by fashion designer Yves Saint Lauren. It conveys both tranquillity and strong colours.
The Marrakesh Museum
The Marrakesh Museum is housed in a magnificent late-nineteenth century palace. The palace was originally built by Mehdi Mnebbi (1894-1908), the Moroccan ambassador to London.
Discover Marrakesh by night
Marrakesh at night offers an excess of Arabian entertainment. Experience the sights and sounds of Moroccan musicians and dancers, while eating a 5 course meal in tents under the stars of North Africa. Be captivated by Berber Tribes singing and greeting you upon arrival.
An evening in Marrakesh provides a vibrant mix of entertainment - food, songs, dancers, horseback stunts, fireworks, parades, acrobats, and belly dancers. You will never forget the beauty and the sights and sounds of Morocco.

Approximately thirty kilometres from the Imperial City of Marrakesh, and spreading between the first foothills of the Atlas Mountains, the Ourika Valley is one of the most beautiful and best preserved valleys in Morocco.
With tiny villages clinging to the steep hillsides, waterfalls and rocky landscapes merging with the ubiquitous desert, this is a wild and enticing combination on the edge of the Western Atlas.
